Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read doughdoughmn.com, a site about Minneapolis desserts, food trucks and cookie dough, and what choices you have. Whoever runs the site is called the operator here, and we and us refer to that operator.

Visit logs

The servers that deliver Doughdoughmn pages keep ordinary logs. An entry can include your IP address, the time of the visit, the page requested, your browser and device type, and the page that sent you here. We use these records to keep the site working, to catch errors and abuse, and to see in broad terms which dessert guides or dough articles get read.

Cookies and similar technology

Pages here can store small files or use similar browser storage. Some are needed for pages to load properly. Others, where enabled, count audience numbers, remember a display preference, support advertising, or record that a visitor arrived from this site at a retailer or ordering page so that affiliate attribution works. A file set by an advertiser or analytics provider is under that provider’s control, not ours.

Controlling tracking in your browser

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, browse privately or use tools that limit tracking. Where your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we treat it as an opt-out request wherever the technology we use allows. Blocking some cookies may change how parts of the site behave, such as embedded content.

What you send us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as a tip about a truck that has changed its schedule. We use it to answer you, to correct pages and to keep a record of the exchange. Your note stays private, and we would ask before quoting it or naming you in anything we publish.

Newsletters and forms

Should a newsletter or sign-up form appear, the email address you give is for sending the dessert, food truck or cookie dough updates you chose and nothing else. Each message explains how to stop, and you can also ask us by email to remove you.

Outside services

Running a food site involves outside providers. These may include hosting and delivery networks, analytics tools, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded content such as maps showing where a truck parks or videos of a dough being mixed. They may receive technical data about your visit so that their service works, and they handle it under their own notices.

How long information is kept

Raw visit logs are held for a short span before they are erased or boiled down to anonymous counts of readers per page. An email is held while it is still needed to reply to you, fix a mistake in an article or satisfy a legal obligation, then it is removed.

Asking about your information

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to certain uses or withdraw consent you gave earlier. To make a request, email [email protected] and describe what you want. Before acting we may ask you to prove the request is yours, and we will answer within the period the applicable law sets.

Children

Doughdoughmn is written for a general audience, and a reader hunting for a dessert or a dough recipe is not someone we expect to be under 13. We do not gather details from young children on purpose. If a child has sent us an email, let us know and we will erase it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including secure connections and limiting access to the inbox. No method of storage or transmission online is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.

Data crossing borders

Providers we rely on may process data in other countries, where the rules can differ from those where you live. When you load a page, some technical details may therefore be handled abroad.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be revised when our practices or the rules around them change. The effective date above shows when the current version began, and continuing to read the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
